How many times have you applied for a job and got an answer? We get at least 25 applications per day and it takes time to process them all. We don’t have to reply, but like to think that we do reply in most cases, where most companies do not.

First of all, thank you for your sincee reply. Well, i did not conclude that this project is close by myself. But it was just my guess based on your comment @ 23 Sep 2007, 14:08 mentioning: “Please email me the above, plus some reference fo work you have completed, then I will give you a call to confirm an appointment to meet tomorrow (MONDAY) afternoon / evening”. But you did not turn back to reply at all. And now, on Tuesday evening you mentioning a new situation: “We get at least 25 applications per day and it takes time to process them all”. Now you compare your both text on 23 Sept and 25 Sept and you could understand that what you mentioned previously is not same as what you mentioned just now.
By the way, back to your question: “How many times have you applied for a job and got an answer?”. I seiously have no idea Dan if in case i communicated online through email/forums. But if i communicate more personal through SMS then definately i will get reply at least mentioning “thanks for your interest, we will get back to you if your quoate is best suit for us”. But i send you sms twice and receive no reply.
Let me be honest with you, from my point of view, your position right now is like a HR people whereas you are in charge of appointing the right guy for the work and communication is key of HR. You should have replied my sms or at least notice me that you was able to receive/view my resume through this forum or email if you think SMS will cost you (i understand this because 25 people send application to you a day X 20 cents = RM 5 a day out of own money for business communication is quite alot).
My conclusion, communication is very important in a any deal especially those related to HR and Marketing while Email or online messages are the cost saving effective way to communicate.
